Erik Espinosa is the founder of Espinosa Premium Cigars and operator of La Zona in Estelí. With Eddie Ortega he launched EO Brands and flagship 601 in the mid-2000s, a full-Nicaraguan template that defined a lot of indie retail. After the partnership ended around 2012, Espinosa kept 601 and Murciélago and built his own factory company. Laranja, Crema, Habano, and the Knuckle Sandwich collab with Guy Fieri sit on the same floor.
He is both brand owner and factory operator: U.S. commercial face, Nicaraguan manufacturing control. La Zona also takes outside projects. He is not STG. Early 601 and Murciélago work also appears with A.J. Fernandez on this graph, a reminder that Espinosa started as a blender shopping for capacity before he owned the rooms.
