Zaya Younan

Zaya S. Younan is the U.S. owner of El Septimo. He is a real-estate and luxury-holdings executive who bought the Costa Rican brand in March 2019 from Gilles Botquin's Septimo Concept, then pushed it into the U.S. after years as a European luxury marca. Collections include Sacred Arts, Zaya, Alexandra, Gilgamesh, and related aged-leaf lines. Tobacco is grown and aged in Costa Rica (often cited as five to fifteen years) and rolled as long-filler puros.

Younan did not found El Septimo and does not run Selected Tobacco. That is Nelson Alfonso's Atabey/Byron house at Tabacos de Costa Rica. El Septimo is a separate Costa Rican luxury catalog under Younan Collection.
