Jochy Blanco

José "Jochy" Blanco is the third-generation tobacco man behind Tabacalera Palma in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Palma is a boutique floor: house La Galera cigars plus contract work for blenders who want Cibao-valley Dominican tobacco without building their own plant.

His most visible U.S. partnership is with Rafael Nodal on Aging Room. Together they built early hits such as Small Batch M356 and Quattro F55 at Palma. Jochy later became a partner in Boutique Blends. Dominican Aging Room lines still point here even after Nodal's Nicaraguan work with A.J. Fernandez. Blanco operates Palma. He is the Dominican half of Aging Room, not Altadis.
