Chantel Leavitt founded Bella Dama Cigars in 2020. A Tampa entrepreneur whose father was a professional poker player, she named the lines after cards (King, Ace, Full House, All-In, Flush) and launched the brand after her e-commerce fashion business stalled in the pandemic. She does not own a factory.
Production is Nicaraguan contract work. After starting with U.S. help, she moved blends to Tabacalera Aragon in Estelí in 2024. Bella Dama is her marca. Aragon rolls it. She is a brand owner, not a grower.
